ROTARY INFORMATION TO NEW MEMBERS

1. Each new member, after his induction, is attached to a Senior Rotarian for proper grooming on Rotary procedures and information about different avenues of service.

2. Following Publications are distributed to all new members:

a) Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison Supplement

b) Rotary Handbook

c) Get Acquainted with Rotary.

d) An introduction to Rotary International (English)

e) This is Rotary

f) Rotary - An introduction (Urdu) by PDG Ata-ur-Rahman Barry.

g) Relevant portions of Club Committee Manual are photocopied and distributed to Chairpersons of Avenues of Service.

h) Copy of Club Charter

3. A library has been established for Rotary Publications consisting of books, audio/video cassettes containing information about Rotary. These have been purchased from the Rotary International, USA. The library is open for use by all members as well as other Rotarians.

4. A copy of the Club Constitution and Club Bye-laws is provided to the members.

5. Each member is involved in the club activities by appointing him/her as member of a committee so as to provide an insight of Rotary procedures and Rotary Spirit.

6. A directory of all the club members is published and circulated among members containing information about their classification, address, birthday, wedding anniversary etc.

7. An effort is made to invite PDG's and other senior Rotarians to our meetings and other activities and to deliver lectures on "Rotary Awareness."

8. Respective Club Chairpersons are invited to deliver lectures on the four avenues of service - Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service and International Service.
